I5-[DiaSpace]
combines parts of the work done in 2003-2006 in the two projects I1-[OntoSpace]
and I3-[SharC].
Both projects still continue their work within the SFB/TR8. I1-[OntoSpace]
is primarily dedicated to spatial and linguistic ontologies substantiated
by results of language production experiments (which are now continued
in I5-[DiaSpace]). I3-[SharC] focuses on shared interaction between
humans and robots, which has resulted in the development of a dialogue
system. The system is now being put to practical use and testing within
I5-[DiaSpace].
Just like I1 and I3, I5-[DiaSpace]
is a part of the interdisciplinary Transregional
Collaborative Research Center on Spatial Cognition at the University
of Bremen in Bremen, Germany. The Center was established by the
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)
on 01 January 2003 at the Universities Bremen
and Freiburg
and is the 8th Transregional Special Research Project (SFB/TR8) funded
by the DFG.
The Diaspace project aims are summarized as follows:
> Develop a dialogue system for natural users and artificial agents
> Enable natural and efficient linguistic interaction in spatial settings for various purposes in SFB/TR 8 projects
> Investigate dialogic processes in spatial human-human interaction
